Her knowledge goes beyond just workouts – she genuinely cares about our overall well-being, from our diet and sleep to daily steps and mental health. What sets Kat apart is how connected she is with her clients. Our conversations go beyond fitness – we can talk about parenting, fashion, lifestyle… anything! She engages with us both during the one-hour PT session and even outside of it, always checking in and encouraging us to stay consistent. Kat doesn’t let us come up with excuses either – she teaches us easy strength exercises we can do at home, or even while running errands! That level of thoughtfulness and commitment is rare. When I first started out with zero knowledge on how to activate different muscles for different exercises, she’s able to explain it in different ways for me to fully understand and experience what it feels like to be exerting in the optimal way - that for me was v empowering as a beginner. From what I observe, she curates her teaching style according to different clients’ preference and needs, and she also adapts her style as we progress in our fitness journey. Earlier this year when we were preparing to go on a ski trip, she designed exercises for me as a first-timer on the slopes - the exercises made a noticeable difference to my strength and confidence on skis. I felt well-prepared, especially in terms of mobility and endurance. When I joined her on the same ski trip, it was great to have her around—she was encouraging and helped us with our practice too even when she had her own skiing goals to achieve. It just reaffirmed how committed she is to her clients' progress, both in and out of the gym. It’s always a joy to train with Mindy :)

It was especially assuring to me at the beginning that she made sure what my goals were, clarified all the questions and myths I had about exercising. Mindy will impart all the knowledge and training that would be the most applicable for your level of strength and stamina. From building confidence in using gym equipments to confidence within, the sets and exercises were helpful for what we wanted to achieve out of why we choose the personal trainer route over going to the gym ourselves. From the start till the end, Mindy is a reliable coach. Her candor and presence is something I look forward to every session.
