Ark Bloc

A huge non-air-conditioned gym in a warehouse building, with many huge fans for ventilation. If you're looking for an atlas gym, this is definitely not it - it's gritty, it's dirty, much of the equipment are rusty. However, they're serviceable, and cater to a wide range of athletes, from climbers, weightlifters, powerlifters, bodybuilders, strongmen, Crossfitters, and Hyrox athletes. Like I said, definitely not the best equipment. I came here to do weightlifting, and the WL bars are rusty, and while they spin, they aren't smooth. The knurlings placement also feel "off" from feel, though I didn't measure them. Bumper plates also don't fit very well, with substantial wiggle room, so use the clips. Service was friendly and professional as well. One bad thing is that the bathroom is shared, and outside the gym, and it's absolutely disgusting. It looks like nobody has cleaned it for the longest time, and the shower stalls had tape, dirt etc on the drain covers. Definitely ranks as one of the worst, if not the worst gym bathrooms I've had to use.

It was my first time at Ark Bloc and only my second time bouldering, and I had such a great experience! The people here are really friendly, and the staff were super helpful in getting me started. A few of the climbers even took the time to guide me on how to clear the routes, which made learning so much easier. Special shoutout to Frank – he was very approachable, went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, and even took the time to introduce me to the other Ark facilities after I shared some of the challenges I had with other gyms. Really appreciated the warm and supportive environment.

No aircon but very big airy and fun

Visited ark bloc today after sometime - routes were fun and technical this time around. Had the pleasure to speak to a really nice and friendly counter crew that was on shift around 6-7+. Mentioned some safety issues regarding kids that were affecting the safety of my friends and he was quick to provide assistance. Great service and responsibility - thank you!

💯Amazing all-inclusive space!! Both an extensive comfortable spacious gym & a climbing bouldering. Such a hidden gem?!? 💎 Truly IMPRESSED by the variety of gym equipment available - anything you can think of or seen elsewhere, it’s likely AVAILABLE. In all different materials & sizes. But whether able to fully utilize, is another matter 😅 but so much opportunity to challenge self in a good way & find the one that suits your needs! The weights range is incredible! 👏🏻 > Dumbbells - up to 50kg > Kettlebells - up to 48kg > Weights, plates - 5/10/too many 20kgs, both iron & rubber > 40kg medicine balls, slamballs etc > over 200kg tyres , sandbags Another highlight ✨note: MORE than sufficient quantity of EACH specific weight to go around, so you definitely won’t find yourself waiting for other people to finish utilizing a weight to get your turn at it 🏋️‍♀️ 5(?) barbell lifters corner with own personal stable floorings/ mats & personal mirrors 🏋️‍♀️ various stable weightlifters areas More dynamic areas include: > more than sufficient bars of a calisthenics playground 🛝 > battleropes, sled etc Climbing /bouldering routes & options are extensive as well! Many routes to test & explore, with clear markings on varying difficulty levels from 1-9, and is a good challenge not attempt for beginners or experts alike You can rent climbing shoes as needed. Overall: ✔️ Well-ventilated - with their large fans positioned at many corners, and a high barn-like ceiling & partially open walls. Which I love the airiness & breathability whilst still being in a contained sheltered space! ✔️ easy access to free water cooler or purchase drinks from fridge ✔️ a good spaciousness & dedicated spaces (whether for exercise or chill/rest seatings) ✔️ Space layout is so thoughtfully designed! To accommodate the varied needs & range of equipment, types of exercises, & user safety ✔️crowd level is good, probably due to location As long as not looking for classes, you can find something to suit everyone’s level from beginners > experts! 👍🏻 🙁Downside: there is a decent amount of rust on some equipment just bc it is iron… & floorings has shown wear & tear, but they are all still very functional, usable. Which is totally acceptable given the variety / extensive ness of a gym rarely avail elsewhere. Can expect hands to get slightly dirty, so if that matters, bring training gloves? it is pretty much like an exercise gym wonderland ✨ for any fitness enthusiast - SO MUCH to explore & use & learn!! 🌟 Cost: ~$19-$25 for passes? & can purchase/book via their app
