Shafiq is an excellent gym instructor. Young, yet extremely mature, flexible, and professional in his approach. He genuinely takes the time to understand each individual’s needs, limitations, and goals, and tailors his guidance accordingly. He knows how to push you to work hard, but does so in a way that feels encouraging rather than overwhelming. His supportive and attentive coaching style makes training both effective and enjoyable for all age groups. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a trainer who truly cares about progress and well-being of you.
View on GoogleEnded my 24 gym session with Shafiq. Was unsure of taking up the session at first but he assured me there will be progress. Sure enough, it paid off. He helped me understand how to gain body mass and muscle. Within the 5th session, the results were there and he taught me how to maintain it. Until today even after our session has ended, I still return to the gym to keep fit with the knowledge he taught. Truly a great experience. 10/10 recommended
View on GoogleI just completed 36 sessions of personal training with Shafiq at Anytime Fitness EHub, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better trainer. When I first started, I wasn’t tracking my food at all and ate whatever I wanted, which led me to reach 86kg without realising it. With his guidance, I’m now 79kg and my body fat has dropped from 29% to 21%. These changes feel incredible, and they definitely wouldn’t have happened without him. Shafiq is extremely meticulous with every workout he plans. Nothing is random — every exercise has a purpose, and he takes the time to explain things clearly so I understand what I’m doing and why. He also helped me a lot with nutrition. From the start, he gave me daily calories and macro targets based on my body type, and he keeps me accountable. Somehow, he always knows when I didn’t eat properly before a session and he reminds me (very honestly) that I need to fuel myself to grow and progress. What I appreciate most is how enjoyable the sessions are. We banter a lot, which makes training fun instead of a chore. At the same time, he’s great at motivating me to push harder every session, even when I feel like giving up. He really goes the extra mile — from adjusting my workouts to planning my weekly routine so I can train confidently on my own. As someone introverted, gyms used to feel intimidating for me. But Shafiq made the environment feel safe and comfortable. He mentioned that he went through personal training himself before becoming a trainer, so he understands exactly how newcomers feel. That made a huge difference for me. He also took the time to teach me how to use almost every machine in the gym so that when I come alone, I know what I’m doing. Anytime Fitness EHub itself is one of the best AF branches I’ve been to — clean, spacious, and packed with a wide range of equipment. Even though I travel from Serangoon to Pasir Ris for every session, it’s absolutely worth it because of the quality of training and the environment. To PT Shafiq — if you’re reading this, yes, please shed a tear like you said you would. Thank you for being patient, honest, motivating, and genuinely invested in my progress. You helped me build the habit of going to the gym at least four times a week and completely changed my relationship with fitness. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable trainer.
View on GoogleI started my fitness journey at AF Pasir Ris and training with Shafiq is one of the best decisions I’ve made. He is very understanding, supportive and very patient in guiding me. I began with 12 sessions and added another 36 after seeing great progress. I have issues with posture and need to strengthen my muscles and Shafiq plans my workouts perfectly. He constantly motivates and pushes me to give my best in every session. I feel stronger and more confident. I highly recommend Shafiq to anyone looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable trainer!
View on GoogleNot my home gym but was in the vicinity and just wanted to try it out. The gym was easy to find and is located near the escalators. The gym is spacious however there’s only two changing rooms (Mixed Genders), Lockers, phone chargering stations. That’s all. There’s no showering facilities but there toilets directly outside of the gym within the mall. Overall I think it’s okay, but without the showering facilities it’s a missed for me
