Was looking around to start exercising and came across Hillion Amore. Joined trial to have a feel of the class and I really enjoyed and have fun during the workout. The instructors are very nice and friendly!

Hi, I have been a regular member of Amore since 2019, in which its all-women feature attributed to my loyalty to the gym/brand. I have to say, the all-female environment is an important detail in making me feel safe and comfortable during my workouts, which was why I continuously renewed my annual membership. After the recent renovation whereby all the studio walls are replaced with glass panels, I have noticed that it has resulted in a privacy issue. I have monitored the situation since mid-July, and there has been no improvement in the situation. In fact, it only got worse and the parties involved got bolder. For five separate occasions, I was made very uncomfortable to the point where I had to, one time, personally remove myself from the class, and inform the counter staff to do something about it. (1) I have attended the 10:30AM Yoga class on Friday 18 July 2025. I have noticed that the male coach that was scheduled to instruct the class after at 11:30AM (which had not yet commenced at this point) had arrived earlier and stood outside of our class and was observing us with watchful eyes around 11:20-11:25AM --this made me feel extremely uncomfortable especially because the view of the class was completely exposed by the glass panels. (2) Following that aforementioned incident, he has done it yet again 25 July 2025, repeating the same exact behavior. (3) On 18 August 2025, I had the class at 6:30PM. A male coach by the name of Brian, came about 20 minutes before his class even is scheduled to start, placed his phone on the bench that was facing our class. I don't know what he is up to, but it does make me feel very distressed as god knows what exactly he is doing. This is the one where I had to physically exit the class to feedback this to the counter staff, where she was very empathetic to my situation and handled it very well. (4) Just one day later, on 19 August 2025, I had the Energy Sculpt at 2:30PM. By right, the class before, Dance Workout by male coach Ralph, a different instructor from (1) and (2), has ended at 2:30PM. Yet, I noticed that he was loitering outside for around 10 minutes, watching while refilling his water three times. I don't know how coincidental it is, but it makes me feel very watched and uncomfortable, because no female instructor have I noticed doing these things. And you can chalk it up to being paranoid, but usually people would walk away after refilling water. Do also note that the coaches have their own coach rooms. (5) On 21 August 2025, 6:30PM, I have attended the 7:30PM Energy Sculpt class. Mickey, a male coach, has arrived not 10 minutes, not 20 minutes, but 45 minutes before his class even was supposed to start (actual: 8:30PM). Around 7:45PM, he was loitering around outside of our class, 'talking on the phone', but his eyes were glued to the class. I have even recommended others to join Amore because I truly enjoy my experience here, and the coaches of the classes I attend are very friendly and patient. Hence I am only pointing out the uncomfortable experience that only arose recently. I do think male coaches needs to be more sensitive and careful with their behavior regardless of their actual intentions. I do have to say that I have not had this problem since before the renovation, and I visit the Woodlands branch time-to-time, where their studios are enclosed and cannot be viewed so openly from the outside. I think it is only normal to point this out especially when Amore prides itself as a ladies-exclusive fitness gym. I am concerned that this is the kind of concept Amore wants to portray itself moving forward.
